Hey Matt, MeetCrewScout

Construction deservesits own career ecosystem.

Construction careers still move through disconnected job boards, resumes, spreadsheets and personal networks. CrewScout brings the journey together, from a person's first role through to retirement.

Nice to meet you.

Hi Matt,

I have lived both sides of
the workforce problem.

I have spent most of my career inside construction across New Zealand and Australia. I have searched for white-collar roles myself while also helping manage my husband's career as a boilermaker.

From both perspectives, I kept seeing the same problem: construction shares one workforce, but the systems around it are fragmented.

CrewScout is being built in partnership with Barry Egan and my current employer, ROBAR Civil Group. That is intentional. It gives us a real construction environment to test ideas, pressure-test workflows and shape the platform around genuine workforce challenges rather than assumptions.

That partnership is part of the strategy. Rather than building in isolation, ROBAR provides direct industry feedback, operational insight, employer credibility and access to the kind of workforce environment CrewScout is designed to support.

I am building the connected career ecosystem I believe our industry should already have.

03 / Modern job discovery

The way workersengage withopportunitieshas changed.

People increasingly discover and assess information through short, visual content, not by beginning with a wall of text.

CrewScout lets employers show the project, role, team and working environment upfront, helping workers understand whether an opportunity is relevant before committing to an application.

Create the job story once. Let it travel.

Bring every response back into one connected talent pool.

Build a role around the real project, team and working environment, then distribute it across CrewScout, social media, employment platforms and employer networks. Every response returns to one place to assess, progress and retain the relationship.

07 / Our future

Build the future.
Lead Australia
and New Zealand.
Strengthen membership
over time.

CrewScout will begin by building category leadership across Australia and New Zealand — two connected construction markets with shared workforce challenges, similar skills demand and constant movement between projects, regions and employers.

From there, we can expand into closely connected markets, beginning with the United Kingdom and Ireland once the product, partnerships and operating model have been proven.

Our future is not only about entering more markets. It is about continually increasing the value of CrewScout Membership, giving construction employers and workers more reasons to remain connected throughout the entire workforce journey.

The goal is to build more than recruitment software. It is to create a construction membership that becomes more valuable over time.

Establish CrewScout as the construction-specific workforce and career platform across both markets.

A membership that gets stronger over time.

Recruitment is the starting point. As CrewScout grows, we will continue adding tools, partnerships and benefits that deliver greater value to employers and their people.

Recruitment + workforce tools

Continue expanding the core platform with candidate discovery, talent pools, pipelines, project teams, workforce planning and future HR management tools.

Training + career development

Partner with RTOs and training providers to connect workers with qualifications, upskilling and clearer pathways throughout their construction careers.

People + business support

Explore services that support both employers and workers, including onboarding tools, managed recruitment, employee assistance and wellbeing programs.

Member benefits

Develop relevant partnerships that may provide members with industry, supplier, health, fitness and other practical benefits.

CrewScout Membership will begin with recruitment and workforce acquisition. Over time, it will grow to include more of the tools, support and benefits construction businesses and workers need — giving members more reasons to join, remain connected and continue using CrewScout throughout the workforce journey.

08 / Let's build it

Let's build construction's career ecosystem.

CrewScout is founder-led and being developed with the support, industry experience and operating perspective of Barry Egan and ROBAR Civil Group.

That gives the product a credible pathway into real construction businesses, real workforce challenges and real product testing.

Matt, I would value the opportunity to build the next stage with you.
